This. Honestly it's stereotypical but true, most women who go into some sort of sex related job, stripping, porn, prostitution, is usually after hitting some point of being desperate for cash. Very few start from the beginning wanting that to be their job, but I do find that once they start some of them actually find they enjoy it.
Though this is mostly with stripping. I've known a few people who did the stereotypical "strip to get through college" thing, but what started as an act of desperation turned into a job they actually enjoyed.

Honestly, the ONLY thing keeping me from getting into the stripping/camwhore business is the fact I'm going into education and no parent likes to find out that their kid's teacher is an ex stripper.

It just makes it less appealing, and removes the monopoly of the traffickers - the smart ones will then move to the next rich country that didn't legalize, but some will keep at it.

In all but the few poorest countries, girls (and guys) do not go into prostitution to feed themselves. They do it so they can get a new shiny iPhone and whatever else is fashionable.

Let's say you charge 120€ for 1 hour. That's a middling going rate where I live.

Now say you have 3 guests a day. That's 3 hours. Add to that preparation like showering and makeup, and possibly the time travelling to and from the location (unless you receive guests at your own location). That's another 3 hours at most.

That's 360€ for 6 hours of work.

Now do that maybe 4 days a week.
That's 1440€ a week.

If you're self-employed you only have to subtract stuff like condoms, makeup and maybe gasoline. If you're with an agency and they get like a 40% cut of your earnings, that's still 864€ a week for very little work.

All assuming you do this where it's legal and regulated.
