Hey, i'm not one of those "4chaners" or whatever you call the people who visit this website often. I rarely arrive here (and i've only made 1 useless post before vanishing for some years), but I do like to say this is an interesting website. Anyways, i'm not here to talk about any big life-crisis situations, but I feel I needed to look somewhere for a bit of advice and help. As weird as it is for me to say this, I find that you guys have more intelligence than I expected.
So let me actually get into my problem. On August, my Mojang Account's email and password were both changed and I caught notice of this the minute I got the emails. I quickly made a brand new email for my account and changed basically everything, from my name to my security questions. Shortly after, I got this feeling that I wanted some kind of payback for trying to steal my account out of nowhere, so I took his email (believe it or not, he tried to hack my account with his personal email that included his full name in it) and gave it someone to fuck around with. That email basically has a bunch of gay porn newsletters in it now. I had a good laugh, and spent my month in peace. Today, I got an email again that my account had suspicious activity and forced me to change my password. It didn't tell me who but it was most likely that same guy who tried to take my account the first time. I don't know what to do or how to get this guy to stop hacking my Mojang Account.
Now you might be thinking "Who the fuck gives a shit about Minecraft anymore?", I don't care for Minecraft, I really don't, and I don't care that much for my Mojang Account either. However, that guy probably has my real name now ever since he first hacked in my account, and might hack more than just a stupid account for Minecraft. I have yet to see what happens, but if it does happen, I wanna know what I can do to stop it or prevent any personal info from being compromised.
TL;DR : Someone attempted to steal my account twice, help

Well, about damn time you got to the core of your problem, son.
First, understand what a Good password is, for example; you do not need Pandora chewing on the pomegranate when you're trying to change the seasons, if you catch my drift.
That? That's a good password. You might think things like 8zklm0kkk is a good password, but it's not-- such a short password while difficult to type and remember is also easy to rainbow crack.
Even a simple sentence as a password, like this, is WAY too wide a permutation set to crack even with 100 years of a super computer's time.
And, it's also easy to type, and easy to remember because you can write a sentence password in plain view and it's still secure.
F.ex, keep a journal. Just stick your password within the entry for that day.
And in another part of the book write a table
> 9/11/2016 : facebook [email protected]
> 4/20/2017 : underground faggot [email protected]
Even if someone stole your journal it would be unlikely they could figure out what the fuck was going on-- all you'd need to do is apply a rolling cypher to the dates and it would mind fuck > 99% of the population.
A rolling cypher can be as simple as
- First position +1
- Second position = 2nd + first position - 2
- Third position = 3rd + second position +3
- Fourth position = 4th + third position -4
With each place value simply rolling if it goes under 0 or over 9.
F.ex, 1942 -> 2977
Do not use this cypher, it's just an example. Make it easy to remember, mean something to you, and tricky enough it would head fuck anyone short of a mathematician or cryptographer.
Next, security questions are security holes.
Consider;
> where u go to school?
and you answer
> New Zealand
Good job, now anyone who knows SHIT about you could break into your account.
Fill your security questions with COMPLETE nonsense with NO meaning.
> where go school?
> I AM KING OF THE LIZARDS!
k?

Most of this is paranoid and unnecessary. Use a short 14 character password that is not a dictionary word, and change your important accounts, email, online banking, social media. That's all you can do.
Google Password Checker
Click the first one
And make sure that the password takes a few centries to crack on modern PC
Use something you can remember

What would be a good sentence? As an example of course.

Pegasus is literally the best person that will and has ever lived on the Planet Earth in the year of our lord 20 and 16

I took most of the advice and did some major password and security question changes. All is well with the world (for) now.

The universe will end by the time a computer cracks my password.

You're a wonderful person Pegasus but that sentence just won't do. I apologize if it hurts to not have your fame in someone's password.
>*ahem*
In all seriousness, thank you everyone. Your replies made me realize how much of a dumb ass I am. I may return one day if the hacker somehow bypasses my security questions. Good bye. \( o ‿ o )
