I wash the dishes at home. My dad has this habit of not putting dishes in the sink, even when there is more than enough room. I've brought it up a couple of times, and he's always evasive or says "he doesn't want to clutter up the sink."
I think his girlfriend does it, too, she's currently visiting. Is this a common thing? What is the logic behind this?
He even does this with mugs, dirty forks, etc. Just lay them on the countertop.

>not cleaning your dishes as you dirty them
You're both degenerates. Leaving dishes in the sink is just as terrible. Cook, eat, wash immediately after. It's not difficult.

I clean out the sink once or twice a day.

My mom does it too
Even worse, she leaves trash like egg shells and fruit peels and tissues inside the glasses/plates and just leave them there
I have been nagging her about it since I was 13

Instead of complaining, move out of your parents homes.
Then you can have your kitchen however you want, problem solved.

Plan on doing so when I have enough money from my job.
I obviously wouldn't be in this situation if I could live on my own.

That doesn't really solve anything
If anything paying 1k a month on rent just so I stop nagging my mom would create more problems
Besides I'd have to drop by to clean up sometimes anyway
