Mine: So in real life I have no trouble getting girls. I'd say I'm slightly above average in the looks department (maybe a 6 or 7 with 5 being average). I'm over 6' tall, and 205 lbs (I work out. It's not all muscle, but I'm not exactly fat either, I promise), make good money, work in engineering (graduated from one of the top schools)... I am rather shy, but have a pretty high success rate getting girls numbers in person, though (I shit you not. If you think I'm lying, fine, but I have no reason to. Why else would I be asking for help?). It seems like every time I push myself to get a girl's number, it works out for me.
I think I'm not photogenic, or maybe I just need to get more ripped so I can post a shirtless pic or something, but when it comes to tinder, I don't find matches as quickly as I expected. Tips? I am going to work on better pictures. My main picture is a selfie and then I have another one of me playing guitar (not a selfie).

Pics or generic advice that won't help.
Tinder, contrary to popular belief, is not a hookup app. It's a flake app. I'll bet if you're just thirsty enough you can do it, but you'll have to put a lot of effort into it to wade through all the shallow interactions first.

But is there really anything better for hookups? I don't know of any other dating media where casual sex can happen.

I honestly have no idea. Seems like online dating had a 'moment' there for like 5-10 years and is now kind of dead. Maybe that's just me though.
O have a friend who uses Tinder and she's a relationship failure waiting to happen. I would never use it to find dates.
Here's what I suggest: "hey, do you want to hook up/fuck?"
Is tinder a glitchy piece of shit for anyone else? I'll swipe right on a girl, message will pop up saying it's a match, and then I go to my matches/inbox area and she's not even there.
And as of lately, it's like the same 10 people over and over again every time I open tinder.
Anyone else got this problem?

This. When I was using it I got tons of matches (over 40 in 2 weeks). Take away the bots, then the ones where you take a closer look and be like "ehhhh no thanks", was left with around 15 or so. Of those only 5 ever responded, only 2 showed any actual interest, (exchanged numbers) and both of those flaked out when I brought up meeting in person. Unless you're going for older women, tinder is just an app for girls to stockpile self-esteem, "look at all these guys that think I'm hot! Not that I would ever date them teehee"

What's a good alternative, though? I've heard of this app called badoo, but I dunno. It sounded kinda third world-ish to me, but apparently it started becoming popular here in the US relatively recently.
I've had a few girls who were really into me on Tinder.
I met up with one and dated her for about a month. Best sex of my entire life. She would watch popular porn videos and do everything she saw in the videos. Hot asian girl with big tits/ass.
Then she blew me off and I've been really sad.
Not really sure what to say about Tinder... still don't know what to think of it.

There's no magic bullet. If you want to meet a lot of women you pretty much have to revolve your life around it, use multiple dating sites/apps, go out to bars a lot, hell even play those shitty f2p mmo (you'd be surprised)
I worry I'm being catfished. Ran the phone number of a girl I'm taking to and it came back as a guy very far away.
I really hope not. It's not that I did anything I shouldn't have like sent money or lewd pictures, it's just that I'm going to be really disappointed and allowed myself to get my hopes up
