How do you guys define autism?

On 4chan or in real world?

Outside
I'd go with the clinical definition to be honest

Only people who are by definition autistic I guess. I don't know much about it but I assume REAL autists are like those from movies that can't even talk to other people. And shake around in the place in a weird way.
But now with the whole Aspergers thing idk what to believe. Everyone claims to be autistic or have aspergers on the internet and it's a bit scary.
I define autism as OP.

So, thanks to the "geniuses" behind DSM-5, Asperger's = Autism. ASP is a part of ASD.
That aside, mild ASD (what was Asperger's) is mostly social deficits. Moderate ASD is when you start seeing overstimulation to everyday life. Severe is when people are non-verbal. All levels see some of the other well-known characteristics, such as fixation on singular topics. Mild ASD can lead normal lives, moderates can at least be independent and make some kind of life for themselves, but severe ones will usually need lifelong care.
Disclaimer: This is just how I understand it. I am not a Doctorate of psychology, just a senior undergrad student.
