I got interested in animal anatomy and would like to do some dissections by myself.
How can I kill an animal I catch (say a pidgeon or a mouse) with minimum damage to its organs? Poisoning them seems dangerous since I will be digging in their insides (wearing gloves, but still..)
Anything else I should be cautious about while dissecting something?

Anyways, poisoning is the only way to mimize organ damage and any poison you use should only be poisonous via ingesting.

OP here, I didn't know that, but catching one of those fatass pidgeons somewhere in the city seems a lot cheaper
