Hey fellow females, who are on the pill: how long did it take till you got clearer skin if you had problems with it before?

If you have a history of acne problems, why did you choose the pill as your form of BC?

I don't only take it because of my acne but my acne isn't that bad that I had ever considered taking strong medication for it alone. I never wanted to take medication which is so bad that it could give a woman a retarded child. So I see the promised improvement of skin as an extra. I just wanted to ask if someone else noticed that their skin got better and when they saw the first results :)
My acne actually went away a year before I started the pill. It came back for maybe 2-3 months after I started the pill then stayed gone (except for around my "sugar pill" week. then i get a few zits sometimes).
So 2-3 months before my skin adjusted to the pill.
Also, I had light bleeding for those months. Sometimes up to 14 days straight, but it was super light. Then I stopped having periods all together.
Ok thank u! 2-3 is okay I think... a friend of mine said she didn't notice any improvement in skin, hair, etc for six month after starting birth control.. I'd really like to have clear skin just like lots of other girls
