Most of my old friends are married or guys that are shut ins that stay home. I arrived back to this city after living interstate for 3 years
How do I meet new people and make new friends? I'm 30 years old and work for a small company where the majority of people are 50+
I'm going to try meet up next week but it looks lame.
I notice on Facebook there are parties and events but I feel autistic going to them alone by my self.
I really want to make friends and maybe even meet a girl

Or start going to church if you believe in that sort of thing. Networking there should be super easy, but it's not really an option if you're not religious yourself.

Yes, those classes people go to at night to learn about something they're interested in. I even saw a guy find a girlfriend he met from Chinese lessons I attended.

Don't look for friends. Look for things to do. Join a club, take a class at a CC, do volunteer work, go to movies or concerts, hang out at the comic book store. You'll be among other people doing the same thing (and thus automatically have something in common) and it will be easy to chat about what you're doing. That's how friends are made.
