Police officers in huge metropolitan areas, if someone calls and says that they smell marijuana coming from their neighbors apartment; what happens? Does someone actually get dispatched out?
yes and they bring the dogs

facetious the post.
Depends on the neighbor. Depends if smell counts as probably cause in your state.
Yeah but you don't have to answer the door. They have no information to go off of let alone probable cause. They don't have your name. They just have the word of a stranger. Everyone in the building could call on you and then it would be within the domain of the landlord to write or call you. Smoke pot in your apartment all day nigga fuck the police. Blow it out the window, blow in the bathroom, make a sploof (paper towel roll w dryer sheets stuffed in it)

depends on the locality but if the city has its own version of a DEA (like NYC's TNT), then yes, they will come with dogs. They exist because there is funding for them to exist, and they keep that funding by showing force.

I would think that those kinds of agencies would be much to busy with huge grow ops and drug dealers to worry about little ol' me. I never have more than a misdemeanor on me.
