The overwhelming loneliness and hopelessness of /adv/ is sort of beautiful in a way. I'm just curious about what you think of the legitimacy of most of the threads are, as in is there really a group of people out there this far down their spiral, and how did they get this bad?

I think is funnier to, at first, take everything as a genuine problem and try to rationalize on your own standards, what do you think a person in the OP's position should do.
It works as a meditation medium and helps you to know yourself just a little bit.
Also it prepares you when you face similar situations in your life, at least start considering a possibility that something like other's problem may apply to you at some point.

I guess if you look at it from that angle, what's "real" or "fake" doesn't really matter, it's just what's more believable as what would occur in the world.

yup. its like watching someone with splinter complain wile you yourself are hiding a broken arm. Somehow help with that splinter make your arm hurt less.
