I have a problem where I blink hard and manually. I've had this problem since elementary school and it has been present about 80% of the time since. My eyes often feel dry and burning and I feel like I have to blink this way to feel better, but I think it is mostly a facial tic or habit.
What can I do to help this other than sheer willpower? I got glasses about 4 months ago but they didn't help the problem at all. In fact, the glasses made the inner corner of my eyes burn for some reason.
This pretty much kills my ability to socialize with new people that don't know me because even when it's mild, I look like some strung out meth addict. Is there some magic medication I can take or anything at all I can practice?
Thank you greatly.
Happens to me sometimes but never happens if I get 10+ hours of sleep the night before. Maybe your eyes are just tired? But mine water up for no reason when what you are talking about happens to me.

So sleep more? I will try this.

I've experienced this. My eyes started tearing and burning very badly in the corners of my eyes. I was driving and literally had to pull over because I couldn't keep my eyes open it was burning so bad.
I want to fix this so badly.

Was responding to the original post, then I saw this.
I would really advise seeing a doctor if they're that bad. It could be a sign of an even worse condition, even infection.
Eye drops are available but given what you've described I feel it'd be unwise to suggest them without you getting some proper medical advise first.

I am planning on scheduling an appointment later today. This happens maybe once every other week, it is not terribly common. Do you have any advice as far as the blinking problem goes? This is the issue that is bothering me socially the most.
