I work 3rd shift in a factory and school starts in less than 2 weeks. I have an interview at a different place Friday.

A position for 2nd shift just opened here. I'd be making more than I do now and it would work with my schedule. If I apply I'm gonna have an interview with my employer for it.


Should I tell him that I'm currently looking for a new job that works with my school schedule?

Nope, do not ever tell your current employer you're looking for other work, if it is at will employment then they can fire you on the spot. You can also choose to tell your new potential employer that they can not contact your current employer for that reason..

I'm in Wisco and were a fire at will state cuz Scott walker, the place I work for is kinda corporate nazis. Last week they interrogated me because they didn't believe my grandpa died and didn't want to pay for bereavement.
