There are some situations where if a woman is clearly doing something else, it's going to be a problem for you to chat with her. Alpha guys can chat with her no matter what, but you can't. Purely social situations. Places she can get up and walk out of at any time, not just because there are no physical barriers, but also because she doesn't actually need to be there.

The basic (but non-exhaustive) rules are as follows.
- Work bad. Errands bad.
- Classes bad, IF they are mandatory (for school, work, etc; electives are "mandatory" for this purpose).
- Transit bad, if she is going to or from a place that would be bad. If in doubt, assume bad.

The real rule of thumb, though, is a lot simpler: if she HAS to be there it's bad, but if she WANTS to be there it's good.
