I live in a small town in Kansas where high paying jobs are very rare. I have no discernible skills besides my supposed intelligence and my highest form of education is "some college". I dropped out at the end of my sophomore year to start a research chemical company. It made a huge profit for the couple of months that I did it but the reward isn't worth the risk so I quit.
Anyway, how should I go about acquiring a good career? I'm open to moving anywhere in the US, and thanks to the internet I have plenty of friends in plenty of cities that would be happy to help me out in the beginning. I'm also an active member of Mensa and Intertel, those should look good on an application right? But where do I begin?

Europe calling in

Well, you have some experience in the chemical sector, so I'd start looking there.
Having Mensa on your resume doesn't add that much, 'cause it doesn't list the skills you've acquired. You've got the intelligence, but you've got them to acknowledge your skills. So stress the experience you've gained.

This world is about skills and your college degree only shows that's you've mastered processing information, but what they really want to know is how you process it

Well, the first thing you have to do is try. If you never try, you'll never have any chance at being successful.

annnnnyway the best way to have a good carreer according to most of these get rich quick schemes is find something you love to do and find a way to get paid doing it. as the old saying goes: find something you love and you will never have to work a day in your life
