I was in the Marines for armor battalion. Dropped out because there was literal retards in my fighting compartment. In order to be SF in Army and have ANY chance at a SOCOM postions you have to work your way up the ladder and then try out for Rangers green berets etc. I picked marines because the mortality rate is insane.

From what my friend told me. It was a waste of time. He stationed at a fire base in a 110 degree desert and did nothing. He said it felt like he wasted 4 years he could've spent having fun at college. I dropped out because my loader dropped an HE tank shell on the turret floor to grab a SABOT shell. Yes but the whole dynamic would be completely different. It's all about professionalism, how well you can complete physical and mental tasks, shit like that.
