My mother is becoming a local politician and will have to deal with people sleuthing around in her social media accounts i.e. twitter and facebook. She wants me to help her clear her old tweets at least, but what is the best, safest way to go about that? It seems like everywhere I look, it's "download our program and give us your account details".
How can I help her get a nice clean start?

the first question is what views does she hold?

Just do it manually. Look through her twitter and FB and delete anything that's even remotely questionable.
You think there's some magic program that can detect a controversial statement and then delete it? No.

Manually, delete everything,

What is Google cache?

Well she's pretty much on point with the party, the problem is she may have shared stuff from people a year or two ago that are now persona non grata, or said something dumb or swore or something like commenting on a political debate. Again, nothing too major, but you never know what you might have said years back. She is worried about it anyway

I think it may be best for me to just go through it manually after all. This goes back 2 years but I'll just bite the bullet and do what some journalist/party candidate vetter would do.
