He's always been mellow, but only has one friend which he sees once every 2-3 weeks. Everyone else he interacts with are work acquaintances.
He doesn't even own a television, computer, or radio and most days he's just silent.

Probably neither. He may just be one of those people content in his own company. An autistic person would be unable to deal with others, and an introverted one would be afraid to. He sounds able to function around others but just not as needy as some.

So what does he do when he is not at work?
>>17482709
Does he have hobbies? Is he comfortable around others? Does he have obsessive interests? He could either have the tism or just be a quiet person with no interest in mass media and social interaction
>>17482709
Definitely introverted, but it's pretty much impossible to diagnose autism over the internet. Is it an actual problem for you? Has he always been like this?
>>17482719
Introverts aren't afraid of others.
I'm comfortable around others, I am pretty charming, everyone likes me.
It's just that I genuinely enjoy myself more when I am alone, and social situations tire me.

Well when he's not working he likes reading, playing board games, going for a walk or riding his bike, or doing something like playing the piano
>>17482752
I knew he wasn't very outgoing, but I didn't realize how not outgoing he was.
He's definitely likable, but it just seems a little strange how isolated he is
Maybe he got used to be alone? Does he have siblings? Are you his first? How old is he?
Does it bother you? I think you should just get used to it, everyone's different.
>>17482862
As long as it doesn't harm him of course.
>>17482862
Well he had one girlfriend in high school and one when he was an undergrad.
No siblings and he was raised by his father.
He's 26 now and works as a chemist.
I'm just worried about him, but maybe he's alright
your bf is cheatin on you with a HIV positive alligator
An introverted homebody guy that's not either a huge weeb/game nerd, chronic masturbator, or a potential serial killer
I'll take him if you don't want him, shit.
>>17482852
First you gave the impression that he basically sits on a chair in front of a window in his Chambers, but reading is the equivalent to watching tv, playing videogames, surfing the web, its just not as flashy. I guess it could be a problem if you have nothing in common to talk about.
>>17482852
Jesus, you've a health-minded artist on your hands. Go ask him to play you something on the piano right now and be grateful for his company.
>>17482852
He's not autistic, he just enjoys being alone and calm.

Sounds like this to be honest. I'm 27 and live alone and do these sorts of activities as well.
I don't have internet except on my phone, I never listen to the radio, I haven't had really watched television in over a decade, have no social media, and don't really hangout with friends.
I do enjoy walks, playing guitar and writing songs, reading, riding my bike, etc.
I've pretty much given up on not being alone though. Only had two girlfriends ever, but they lasted over a year each. The only people ever interested in me now are single moms. To everyone else, I'm seem to just be boring or weird.
