I live to read fiction. Whenever I read, the exact thoughts I'm having have never been had before by anybody, but since they are thoughts that can be had, I feel I have a responsibility to have them. The world outside your head is just experienced as electrical signals in your brain. That's the only proof you have of the universe to yourself, so your thoughts, dreams, daydreams and nightmares are all just as real. In reading fiction we become creators.
