Is taking a 6 month intensive German course in Berlin a good idea? It would cost me 5000 Euro in total, including food, accomodation and some cash to spend in the evenings. I could earn it somewhere in Western Europe + parents would give me 2k.

I could jump from B1-C1 and make shitload of money in my country. But on the other hand, 5000 Euro is equal to average annual salary in my country (pooland). And it kinda feels bad.

And I forgot to add - I'm 24, graduated this June, can't find a decent job in my field although I did two internships during my studies.

Don't miss this chance: berlin is the best place in the word. Also, traveling is the best way to fix situations where you are stuck.
Considering the price, be careful not to fail: you have full parenral trust on this one (6k is a lot of months going to work for you only you)

Oh also, finding a good job takes time, don't give up. Took 2 years for my bro, 2 years of doing shit jobs and them bam awesome job: just don't play wow instead

I checked out low skill jobs in UK/Germany - average Polish worker gets around 1100 euro after the tax + free accomodation. So I would have to work for 3-4 months, and parents would give me 2k.

Also my dad is kinda rich, I'd say top 1% in country, he makes 5000 euro a month. This changes the perspective a bit but still, I don't want to leech on them, would rather earn at least half of the money myself

shameless selfbump

let me summarize it for you
>it's a learning opportunity
>it will be an important language to know in your country
>it will allow you to live in a different country for 6 months
>your parents don't need you to support themselves, aka you can work for yourself with no regrets
>in case things go bad, you have support from them to help you
I can't find a single reason why you shouldn't do it.

But as I said, it feels kinda weird that I'll spend so much money just to take course abroad. It's around 22 000 PLN, average Pole earns it in a year. But on the other hand, you earn that kind of money in a 5-6 months in UK or Germany, as shit tier worker, lawyers and accounting managers make it on month or two

>it feels kinda weird that I'll spend so much money just to take course abroad
people spend even more for far less important shit, let me tell you again: it's a great opportunity and you shouldn't waste it. Even if your family was poor, spending money to study in a foreign country would be a good thing.

Thanks, it seems reasonable to me too. My buddy, who's 24, spend 7 000 $ on trip around the world
