I have a serious problem.
I recently got back into anime. I've been watching a lot of shoujo romance anime to make me feel good. But recently I've been getting very annoyed.
For example, if another guy in the story starts to flirt with the main girl, I can't stand it.
For wxample in a Manga I read recently called Ao haru Ride the main girl gets another love interest for a time.
Now eventually she gets back with the main character but it infuriated me so much. It seriously made me sick to my stomach. I was so full of jealousy and hatred over something fictional.
How do I stop inserting myself so severely into the role of a main character? How do I stop caring so much about these fictional stories?

1. The generic lightnovel protagonists are usually made so u can self insert.
