if you know by the end of the night that you need to break up with her, just do it then and there.

some people say you should do it in a public place, but personally I think that's insensitive and should only be done if you think they could become violent. otherwise, I would rather do it either at their house, or at least in a place where they can get home easily. even if you don't like them anymore, it's a bit shitty to dump someone and then leave them someplace where they may have to drive home all upset and distracted.
