How do I do this /adv/?
I've been trying to get up at 5 AM, because of reasons, but I always
>1. Get up when my alarm goes off.
>2. Reset it.
>3. Lay back down.
This is either for only half an hour (I'll get up at 5:30), or I go "oh I can get up at 6", at which point I just keep resetting it because I go "oh why bother".
How can I get myself to wake up and stay up at 5 AM, instead of either semi-automatically resetting my alarm or thinking I'm too tired to get up at that time?
Don't ask why I'm getting up so early.

Wake up and do some push- ups like 20 ish like straight when u wake up or just put your alarm.. example like you want 2 wake up at 5:30 so u put your alarm on that time and then 5:35 then 5:40 etc... that's how I do it bro
put your alarm or phone across the room so you have to get out of bed, then go to the washroom and splash your face with cold water
or sleep earlier if you can, like 8:30-9:00pm
This is gonna sound weird but what worked for me was to start sleeping on the floor.(on carpet with a thin covering). When the body is not more comfortable than it needs to be, it doesn't cling to sleep as much. In addition this more or less solved my back pain issues.

Also to start going to bed earlier spend an HOUR before you intend to sleep in your room, with no screens or music or such things, just read a book or meditate or do yoga or whatever. Your mind needs time to wind down.
Get more sunshine and your sleep cycle will fix itself.
