I've been in... six? relationships that have gotten to the L word point. I'd say on average it's happened about four months in, but sometimes sooner. It seems a bit soon, but if you truly feel this way then it's not like you have to withhold it from him. In my experience, one month is way too soon. It gives me the impression that you have no idea what you're doing and that you don't know what love really is. It's fine to say that you really like someone when you're at that stage, but anything else will scare off most normal people.
