Hi /adv/ I wanted to ask for some help or tips on disciplining myself more for learning a language or atleast ways to make it more enjoyable so I can push myself for it 100%.
I've been learning Korean since last year, 90% on my own I guess, it took me 2 weeks to learn how to read hangul (the characters) from then I had used apps to meet people for help with learning but over time it slowly died down and wasn't much help at all. Now I'm at a brick wall because I really want to learn the language and can read it pretty well though my vocabulary and conversational skills are bad. I'm not sure which ways I can learn while having fun and enjoying it. I want to learn many languages afterwards but I'd love to atleast be able to learn how to keep focused on learning and practicing.
Sorry if there's alot of irrelevant info/blog post type of stuff. Just figured it may help somehow.
what you are looking for is not motivation but discipline. Shit is going to get boring but you have to push yourself through it if you really want the end result. Discipline my friend, make a small goal and hit it then make another goal.

I really need discipline in my life, not just with language sadly. It's preventing me from doing many things I wish to do. So, I'm hoping by accomplishing language goals, It'll trigger more commitments for other things.

Watch movies in korean, no subtitles. It helped me learn german. If you want to understand the story you can watch it once with subtitles and them rewatch it with no subtitles.

I don't have a penpal sadly, know any sites I can get one? I tried interpals before but it didn't work really well.
I have a few korean online aquaintances but they rarely talk to me/too busy to help me.
