I was inner tubing and on one fall I got a good deal of water forced into my ear at a pretty good speed. I'm fairly certain I ruptured my eardrum so of course it was quite painful at first, but it has now all but gone away. When I got home I tried putting alcohol in my ear to try to get the water out like I usually do but the pain was so intense that I had to get it all out before it did the job. It was lake water, so I know that I have to get it out so not to get an infection, but I currently have no way of doing that. Help?

So let's say I'm in the middle of nowhere with the nearest doctor quite a ways away, I'm going home tommorow so is there maybe a short term fix?

Try using your pointer finger like a plunger and plunge it out.
