So how do you get over wanting to text and have conversations with a girl that you really like and will never be able to get with but she is your friend still. Like I have to fight myself everyday not to text her because I know it'll get annoying but I just want to forget about my feelings for her and move on. She is literally always in my thoughts and I just cant stop thinking about her.

at a certain point though if it's causing more stress and pain than it's worth then you need to just cut contact. you could explain to her why you are doing this or not.
put enough time and distance between you and eventually you won't care anymore.

I just put my time and energy into other things. Mostly into my music. Seeing the progress I've made really drives me forward.
I've cut contact with the woman on multiple occasions these past couple of years but she keeps crawling her way back into my life.
