He was abusive. He would ask a neverending series of questions to trap me in a web of logic or get me to admit I was lying. He'd often lock me in his car and yell at me for hours, spittle spraying from his mouth. He told me I was worthless and pathetic. During weekends, I would leave for as long as possible but he'd call me to lecture me about my life or my disrespect, or worse, summon me home for an in person lecture. These would go on for hours and if I tried to pet the dog or confort myself in any way, he told me I didnt deserve that. Now he's a lonely old man and I never want to see him again.

The "youre gonna grow up to be fat, kiddo" memory is one of the last good ones I have of him. And yeah, it felt good to prove him wrong.
