How the fuck do I stick to schedules?
I get nothing done ever and my life lacks structure and direction, so making a schedule to follow is supposed to help with that. Ok, I've made a ton of different kind of schedules throughout the years, but I can never stick to them for longer than a day or two. Then my mind starts rebelling against having to follow routines and timelines and whatever.

It takes 2 weeks to form a habbit. If you can do just 2 weeks, your in the clear

How do I do 2 weeks when my motivation lasts more like 2 days

The apps do nothing for me. I've tried all the decent looking ones and there's always something about them that just doesn't work for me and I lose interest.

so? fight it. do it anyway. force yourself. it's the only way.
I dunno if this helps man, but I'll tell you something I did.
I'm fat and I spend a lot of money. Those were the problems. The other problem was that I really didn't want to do anything about it. I was happy with my lifestyle and loved how easy my life was, but I knew something had to change or else I would be miserable in a few years (increased weight, no money) however I also knew that forcing myself to do something hard (like cooking/budgeting/not eating chocolate) would never stick.
So I "Made it easy"
I sat down and came up with a plan for myself that was so easy I could do it in my sleep. Actually I even came up with a plan that was easier to follow than my self indulgent lifestyle. Now I'm budgeting well and losing weight 2 months in.
See, the way I see it is this, you can either do one of two things when you have a comfort zone that's hurting you. You can either A) force yourself to act outside of your comfort zone and fight against your natural instinct to be lazy or B) extend the boundary of your comfort zone by asking "Am I willing to do X?"
I've left the specifics of my plan out on purpose, it was designed just for me. You should come up with your own comfy plan that's specific to your life and your problem. I can elaborate if you're curious though.
