So basically, been at this insomnia shit for 7 years. Since I graduated high school it's gotten worse. I never made it beyond year 1 of college.

I'm yet again taking time off a shit job where I make a couple bucks more than minimum wage.

I cannt reliably work places with my shifting shit sleep.
How the fuck do I get better education so I'm not in this hell hole job?


I've tried various meds, meditation, melatonin, other natural supplements, hypnosis doesn't work, therapists/psychologist just say well try harder.

Sleep hygiene is followed, sleep is still shit.

I need to make better money or fix my sleep so i don't end up getting evicted. I'm not going to clear the $600 due in two weeks at this rate, and I've sold off just about all my valuables to get by to now...

Not OP, but that's not how insomnia works, my friend. You're thinking of Delayed Phase Sleep Disorder, where you can only sleep during the day.

Insomnia means you can't fall asleep or take way too long to fall asleep, no matter the time.

OP, wish I knew how to help you. Have you tried going to a sleep specialist rather than just a standard psychologist? There's almost certainly -some- medication that can help.

Basic sleep hygiene, meditation mumbo jumbo, and if you want a sleep group... You can get one in three fucking years

I had terrible sleep cycles. Sometimes I went to bed at 8:30 and other times I went days without rest, and when I did knock out inevitably, the REM sleep never recuperated me.

I found two remedies to help me simultaneously, I don't know if it was an individual method or the pair that helped me, so I'll say both.

1) Go paleo diet. Cut processed foods, dairy, grains, and non-natural sugars. You feel fantastic, lose weight, and your insides feel less bloated and/or smaller.

2) Self-induced meditative trances. When you compile incense, small doses of decaffeinated herbal teas, deep meditation paired with breath control and ohm vocalization, you achieve an effective alpha wave state. Coming out of this is fantastic as it can either energize you when you need to work, or relax you when you need to rest. It satisfies the subconscious desires you hold in the moment and emphasizes them to become self-serving.

Tl;dr Deep meditation and paleolithic diet helped me in many forms.
