heavy foundation will only highlight your acne and pores especially if its a matte type foundation. also if your primer is silicone based it might help the foundation go on smooth but it just makes acne flare up more (in my experience). ... maybe try a more sheer or dewy foundation?(will fade but not as horrible) and I have a question do you add powder on top??

pro tip: makeup only makes acne worse. Most girls are in an endless battle to cover up acne with makeup, which in turn makes it worse.

I've gotten some pretty brutal black eyes in my day due to drunk shenanigans and even then I refuse to use makeup. Unless you are on tv, stage, or film, a man should never wear makeup.
