Incorrect assumption. It was a highly discounted student clinic where my mother paid $15 per session, and the therapist I went to seemed to encourage the idea that I could surrender to both the physical reality and the mental concept of having to work, but in a way that I would maintain my current state of happiness and optimism, so that it would not feel like slavery, and I could still buy some lottery tickets but not be attached to winning. This last part is what I'm seeking advice on I guess.
