My sister is pregnant and she has a history of theft, heavy drug use, heavy drinking and smoking, and I doubt she'll be stopping during the pregnancy. The father was recently expelled from his school for bringing a shotgun to school with the intention to use it. Neither of them have a high school diploma and I have reason to believe that even if the child is not miscarried, both parents would be a danger to it. I know my sister well enough to know that she may brutally beat the child if its crying gets on her nerves and might actually kill it. Who can I contact to make sure that she and the father do not have custody of it if/when it is born? If there is to be a child, I at least want it to be in a safe environment.

if shes on drugs, the hospital will pick this up in the baby and cps will immediately be notified.
if this somehow doesn't happen, just call cps
