I'm wanting to find another job, but because of the insurance I have that helps with my monthly prescriptions, I really can't just quit. I am diabetic type 1 and during my 90 day probation when i started, i paid almost $2,500.00 in prescriptions, thankfully i had cashed in my 401k from my previous job that helped cover that. I wouldn't even know where to begin, what to do. 3 years ago was the first time i was without insurance for any extended amount of time, I can't do another 90 day probation waiting for insurance to kick in again.
Could you get your prescriber to give you medication in advance?
I could, but I'm afraid the next place might get me with the same thing blue Cross tried to hit me with, that I had a lapse in insurance coverage (due to their probationary period).

COBRAAAAAAAAAA
can you order your rx online overseas?

This.
Cobra coverage is expensive as fuck, but it's absolutely necessary in your situation where you need the drugs and you're coming up on a lapse.
My Cobra coverage was near 500 a month for the several months I was on it. Not fun. But you do what you have to do.

I used to think cobra was a joke and waste of money until this last time.

I've never been able to find insulin available from any source overseas, even Canada for that matter.
