Anyone here used 7cups? Why are so many of the listeners from

I tried but the wait times were crazy. I passed out from drinking before ever getting anyone.

Used to be a listener.
It worked well about a year ago but it has definitely slipped.
India has very cheap outsourcing. The website may have paid for listeners for a short time in order to keep themselves afloat when all the volunteer Americans lost interest.

Crisis Text Line is good.

I used it a few times, the person who listened to me was fairly dumb.
It was weird.

You click on the link "Become a Listener". :P
They want you to take a very easy "I know how to be nice" quiz and if you pass, they change your membership. They also want you to commit to how often you can be available but it's not mandatory.

I'm a listener on there, it's pretty good
But some of the people I talk to are just so dumb

There are a bunch of volunteer "listeners" and you can go on there and vent to them basically
As a listener, I just empathise and hear them out really
