Do what you want. Do you NEED the money or not?
Are you one of those kids that borrows money from their parents? If that's the case, I recommend you keep the job and try learning to be financially independent. I started working at 17 and I haven't borrowed a single dollar from my parents since, I would feel embarrassed to ask them for something as small as gas money.

It's possible be be miserable regardless of your circumstances. I'm 28, quite well off and earn more than any of my friends. I have my own home with a tiny mortgage. I have a good social life and group of friends yet I'm still miserable. I'm in love with someone and I know she really like me, but we can be together.

Sometimes it's your mindset, not your situation that makes you unhappy. I honestly can't imagine not being miserable at this point. How much of that is my mindset and how much is the situation with the girl I'm in love with, I don't know.

You're 18 and almost no one knows what they want to do or what they should be working towards at that age.

Don't let your financial situation worry you. I was broke at 18, now, to say I was financially stable would be and understatement.

Not sure if any of that is helpful, but sometimes other people's situations can put yours in perspective.
