About the high-tech part
Any game that has ever had power armor ever, with a catch.

Happy go lucky sis is really fucking depressed.
She chooses to try and stay happy, or at least look the part to honour her brother.

Sister with the persona mech and qt3.14 is happy, but still pissed at herself for her brother dying, blames herself maybe
I want her to get the mech after raiding a drug ring/lab and finding him, sending him to a person who is an expert on mechs, and gives him free will
The qt3.14 spider is someone she was dating for a while or eventually saves while on a day off or something
but as time progresses while dating the spider waifu gets more and more aggravated with her since she is basically becoming a killer

Because of my age and little experience, I don't think it will be great and don't plan on making this some best seller book
Its just something I want to do since I have been thinking of it for too long and never putting in the effort.

I'm sensing a major plot hole what causes the division of the cops to begin with.

Your story is very basic unless the division is good.

The stories main theme is morality which is caused or led by the police division.

Also when bringing to the characters description they need to be either static, dynamic or circilar. And the way they come to be needs to be good and not cliché

Honestly, a couple of sifi books, fiction books, but I am not a huge book worm since it takes a lot for me to get invested in a book.
I always liked non-fiction and ots why I'm drawn to the idea of a police force with heavy armor picking sides in the future
I always love playing a couple of casual games and games with good story to help balance out how to think of ideas
I'll play phantom pain or maybe Spec ops the Line to really think about how to think of a good character or story
Then maybe some halo and call of duty to really get into the design of how they should work, how the guns and armor function, and what they should do
I love reading a dystopian setting for a book, or something that just helps me think of a girtty feeling for tough characters I remember reading the last book in te universe for that as a kid
Then I'll read about some kids books for a happy or energetic person like A school for good and evil or some shit
I have lot of books lying around my house like the outsiders, lord of the flies, and it all helps
But as you can see, I am not the best at picking books

Also we must forget that the division causes two extremes.

If you want to make money then support an agneda. Support an idea in your story.

The division can either be lead by a rebelion of anarchy (not anarvhists, but the rebelion has no leader) or the division is caused by two leaders of political parties liberals and conservatives (not neo conservative)

If its in modern day America: conservatives are anti gov.
And liberals are socialist so they want a strong gov. So the 2nd amendment is gone.

All in all you have to know a bit of politics.

I would say I want the country to be tilting towards a civil war and the division is the countries way of trying to solve the problem without having to deal with a war
