Should I take my college classes in the afternoon this year?
I had morning classes this year and I failed to keep up with the schedule most of the time. I can't function as a normal human being in the mornings and I stayed at home sleeping many days.
What are some of the downsides of having classes in the afternoon?
Absolutely none. Most people I knew who took morning classes were either just morning people who liked having the afternoon free and never stayed up late or had night work and couldn't fit it in any other way. I took maybe like 4 morning classes total in my entire college career. Works way better, lets you stay up to play vidya or gives you hangover recovery time.
Getting up at 7am for work sucks, no reason to start out sooner than necesarry

Wouldn't recommend it. For me at least, it made me very unproductive. I got used to sleeping in till I had to wake up to go to classes, didn't get much free time for the shit I wanted to do, would even feel drowsy for the rest of the day.
Waking up early sucks if you don't get enough sleep, but at least you have no choice but to be awake in the afternoon where you'll have plenty of time to do what you want. In addition, being forcibly active in the morning makes me more likely to keep the activeness throughout the rest of the day, thus making me more productive. Makes sense, yes?

I was a night owl most of my adult life.
Trust me--the world is made for early-risers.
A lot of night owls lead dysfunctional lives.
