Need advice from someone who knows about these types of things. Last year I bought a half a condo. The other half is owned by a jerk. For a house to be fully protected by insurance both sides must agree to pay insurance. As you can guess he doesn't want to pay his half. He even asked us to pay it. So now here I am with a house with no insurance because the other guy doesn't want to pay his half. Is it possible to insure my half? Are there any other options? I love it here and I'm afraid I'll have to leave if this situation doesn't get better.

Who is your insurance company?

I go through Progressive, and they have a plan that's just for that. It's listed under their renter's insurance policies.

That's the thing. We don't have home insurance. The one that covers natural disasters and fires.
