Had interview at tj maxx,2 days ago presentation was bit dodgy due to woman being stupid and not declaring what she was saying or anyone else for that matter , just says we will all read something. Started interrupting me when was talking at times.1: 1 was OK . She really liked good few of my answers by actually sayn so. And smiling and all she was lovely. Was anxious was running on no sleep , just coffee . I really dressed well. Better than anyone in my eyes. She seemed to look bit down when asked my availability and said could only do weekends and evenings and one day some time during the week, went from a smile to like dammm kinda body language. I asked when I'll hear back and she said manager is actually meant to be on his holiday this week, there's interviews this week and next week. So she said one or two weeks. I feel like I give a good impression, but some fuck ups. It's making me angry . Really wanting to work there in the new store opening September. Should I hear one day after if I got the job or will it actually be a while? Thoughts

nobody will hire you with bullshit like that.
usually the ones i have gone for, they'll call you back in the afternoon, or contact after.

industry standard is to listen to what they have told you.
If the manager is on holiday this week, wait until monday next week and then call; it shows interest - good luck OP.
Eh, you will probably not hear back immediately. If she was telling the truth about the manager, you hear back in a couple weeks. If she was lying, you never hear from her again.
It used to bother me a lot when they do that "we'll get back to you" thing. It's frustrating that they wouldn't just be straight up - either they like you or they don't. But it's the reality of the world, so what can you do.
If you're not available 24/7, you're not getting a job in retail.
Making a schedule is a huge hassle when you have to start checking availability, so it's just not going to happen.
