What are some good leadership opportunities that can make me more valuable within politics?
The plan is to go to college for political science, go to law school, and by that time have a few political contributions. Does that sound solid? I want to help my community and country.
I considered joining the military, as it would teach me leadership and discipline.
Do debate (not the kind where it's just speaking very fast). Seriously, it will help you with everything in politics. Will give you good speaking power, and confidence, and let you feel at ease explaining your positions to large groups.
I don't really know what organizations would teach you leadership and discipline though. Definitely some volunteer work somewhere would help, even being a volunteer firefighter would be very good for that.
