I'm a 25 year old male with debt, terrible credit and no vehicle to his name. I just lost my girlfriend if almost 3 years because apparently I'm not "driven". She grew up with a CEO as a father and I grew up in a garage. I've always been better with money than she is but haven't been able to accomplish as much as she has. So basically I was wondering if starting a gofundme account would be way to get my life in order. But I also feel bad cuz I want people to think I'm looking for handouts, even though I guess I am at this point. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Most gofundmes are sucsessful because they are people with social media accounts with a decent amount of followers. You can't show up as just some shmuck nobody knows or cares about and ask for money to "make my life better". You're better off building a presence online or making a kickstarter for something. People donate for people needing surgery or a flight or something. People are less likely to donate "just cus"

I figured as much. I've heard of a few occasions where random people ask for money just cuz and they've walked away with some decent cash. That's why I figured I should at least look into the possibility. I appreciate your response btw
