How much math did you need to get your degree? What specific courses did you take.

I'm wondering in particular for Arts and social science people, this guy in my first math class said he only had to take three courses for his degree.
>>
What's his degree? Honestly if you want anything useful you are going to have to take some mth courses.

Bioengineer grad here.

I took a total of 5 pure math courses, those being Calc 1 (AP credit) ,2, and 3; linear algebra; and differential equations.

In addition practically every other class used math learned in these classes throughout the course.

2. Algebra
Linear Algebra 1,2
Group Theory
Ring Theory
Field and Galois Theory

3. Topology
Point Set Topology
Homotopy Theory
Homology Theory

4. Differential Geometry

Calculus
Multivariable calculus
Applications of linear algebra
Linear algebra
Differential equations
Ordinary and partial differential equations
Mathematical probability and statistics
Optimization
Game theory

But then again i was an applied math major.

Econ Major.
Just Calc 1, as a stand alone class
But Most of my upper level classes are reasonably calc intensive.
>>
