Can I get convicted of a crime if someone says they heard me talk about it before it happened? Some kids house got shit stolen from it and the cops think it's me. They went to other people and shit and even assumed one of my friends did it with me and questioned him. They told the cops that I was at the basketball court saying I want to do it and that's not even true everyone else at the court was talking about jacking some weed dealer who I don't even know. The cops think I did it and the only evidence they really have is one or two people saying I talked about it before it happened.
Is this evidence or enough to convict? Nobody actually witnessed the crime and I told all my friends and shit that I wasn't the one who did it
nope i dont think thats enuf
you cant just say that you killed a man and have the cops come for your ass
It was nice knowing you OP.

But they said I talked about stealing from the kid and then the kids house got stolen from after
How black are you? It matters.

Did you do it? I notice you never actually deny it.
They will certainly consider you a suspect, but won't even arrest, much less convict, without more evidence.
I suggest watching this law lecture
