Is psychology really a garbage degree? I plan to major in psychology and minor in cognitive science since I wanna go into neuroscience but I'm curious about /adv/ opinions about it. Any successful psych majors?

If you get a PH.D. In psych your pretty gud other than that not many other well paying prospects
cognitive science is actually very useful if combined with tech sckiils

The plural of DEGREE is DEGREES, not DEGREE'S. It's useful to know stuff like that if you're going to college.

It's one of those degrees that loads of people do because it's "cool".
So you're going to have loads of competition.
Additionally, not a lot of psychologists are needed.

me = (Neuro)psychology
Psychology is a very good basis for multiple other MSc degrees (especially with the stats and math skill you got from cognitive). If you don't want to continue in the field, you can go from business to team management, NGOs, computer science (should be possible to an extent) etc. Many possibilities there.
Staying in for PhD is also possible. Cognitive and neuro are cutting edge at the moment.
