I applied to a job and they are doing a background check on me through a third party. The company doing the check says that they cant get the information to verify two places I worked at a couple years ago. I was stupid and didnt keep W-2s and the owners are fucking retarded franchise owners who are rarely available to get on the phone. So what can I do or ask for to verify my previous employment dates?

What annoying shit
>Used to work at a grocery store
>1st job and I worked my as off
>Did all kinds of stuff, from bagging groceries to cutting meat in the back
>after a few years the store started going to shit so I jumped ship
>still gave my 2 weeks notice
>never had a problem with anyone
>was one of the last helpful employees there (the others had already moved on, the only people doing real work in my department was me and one other guy)
>last few days of work I decide to get some info from people so I can have something to put on a resume aside form a store name
>managers said it was "against company policy" to give me a recommendation
>only some of the other wageslaves I worked with helped me.
>TFW I wasted so much time working for them thinking it would benefit me in someway
And that's how I learned to never do anymore than what your job says and to find out about recommendation shit early on.

Give the investigators the old employers' phone numbers. If they have trouble reaching them, it's their problem, and they can't hold it against you.
