I'm probably a normie by 4chan standards, except for the fact that I'm very old and still here (I found the site not more than a few weeks after it was built, and have been lurking/periodically coming around ever since). Anyway, I'm moderately socially functional (friends, degrees, jobs, wife, kids, house). Not discernibly geeky (casual in the extreme in my few interests that attract geeks, never been a gamer, ambivalent about technology, etc.). I'm even decent looking, although I'm now old and fat and was never model material.

I have also experienced moderate to severe depression, including a couple of mercifully brief suicidal periods as a kid. Have a shrink. Take antidepressants. Mostly feel OK nowadays, but it isn't and hasn't always been that way.

So I'm not sure what your point is, I guess.
