I know it's probably not socially acceptable to have the procedure done as a 28 year old working in healthcare, but could I get fired for this? And would it impact my ability to get/keep future jobs?
Takes several weeks to heal but I'm thinking I could get it done right before taking a bunch of time off work so it doesn't look so bad when I go back. If we have wounds we're supposed to keep them properly bandaged and covered which may be difficult.
Is this a good idea? Please say yes.

Probably one of the worst ideas I've ever heard. Go for it op

Completely fucking stupid.
But ears are like hair and if you don't like the style wait a few months for them to grow back. Not.

They usually look pretty good once done healing. My ears are big too which helps I think. It's just the healing and possible work repercussions that concern me.

They don't look stupid to me.
Yes you could get fired, yes, it will probably screw over any future employment prospects. Don't be an idiot.
We have rules about tattoos at work that are never followed. Some girls have tats on their faces and stuff. Nothing about body mods in general.
Kinda sucks I may miss out on this for fear of losing employment :(
