I have a phone interview coming up tomorrow regarding an IT position at T.Rowe Price.

I have never done a professional interview before and I have never done a phone interview.

Does anyone have any phone interview tips?

What questions will they ask?
What questions do I ask them?

I was joking. Insurance might be a reasonable question but there isn't a lot you can do about it so I probably wouldn't ask about benefits at all.

I just finished doing a phone screen and I have done a lot so I'm gonna help you a bit.

These phone screens are to gauge you a tiny bit. It's not meant to be in depth.

As such, they'll just ask behavioural questions like "Tell me about a time you fucked up" in that case, use the STAR method.

Have two good solid examples you can use.

Remember, you're selling yourself, so be confident and quantify your shit as much as you can.

Don't stress out about it. This is a friendly chat. It's as much you selling yourself, as they are selling themselves to you.

As for the questions - ask about the work culture, what the team looks like, who you would be reporting to, etc
