Any experience with CompTIA or similar certificates?
Looking to work in the IT field, but i can't exactly do that with a high school diploma, and can't afford college.
What are my alternatives?
>>
You could study and take the tests on your own, or if you're poor and under 24 you could try job corps. Honestly a google search could probably have answered all your questions..

So could every question on this board faggot.

Op, I have a CompTIA and did get a temp contract as 1st line support, it was pretty cheap, but it only lasts 3 years now I think.

23. Just googled Job corps, and it is something USA only, and i'm in EU. Seems like its a work-for-experience kind of thing? I don't think i am able to dedicate longer periods of time for something like that if i don't get paid. Rent isn't gona pay itself

Oh so i need to take it every 3 years again, or just renew it pay paying for it again?
Is it even worth it then? Trying to figure out my alternatives here

I took both A+ hardware and software pretty much exactly 15 years ago. They didn't bring any value to me at all: They always struck me as a good way for the average computer owner to get some insight into the inner workings of a computer, but it's not something that is very sought after.

I see, thanks for the insight. So high school plus A+ certificate isn't going to look much better on my resume than just high school is what i got from this.
That sucks since college really isn't an option for me right now, figured this would be a decent alternative that can land me an entry-level job in the field

It would be better to get some Cisco certs with it.
