I don't get it anons, I need somebody more experienced than I am to help me with this.

Why do I like her? Why do I crave attention? There are so many other women I wish I could have but for some reason I like her the most, and I do not know why. Can somebody shed light upon this?

What I think happens is that most guys aren't used to being hit on and pursued by any girls, so when it happens to them, it feels special and it's a huge ego boost. It's definitely natural to like this because we all crave a little attention and have more fragile egos than we'd care to admit.
I personally end up leading girls like this on, because like in your scenario, they're not very attractive. Pissed a lot of girls off doing this, but it's empowering in a way.
